INCOSE UK Chapter AGM: Thursday 25th January 2001

At the TRW facility in Shirley, Birmingham commencing at 6:00 pm

This year we are trying a new approach by holding the AGM as part of a local event to be held at the TRW facility in Shirley.  The event will take place on Thursday 25th January, commencing at 6:00 pm.  We hope that this will allow people to attend without having to take a significant amount of time off work, and by circulating the AGM around different local groups each year we will give more members an opportunity to attend on at least some occasions.

In accordance with the Articles of Association of INCOSE UK Ltd we have provided at least 21 days notice in writing of the meeting by means of this letter and its attachments.

The AGM business will occupy around 30 to 45 minutes, and will be followed by a presentation by Paul Davies of Thales Defence Ltd on System Test Metrics on a Development Intensive Project.  All INCOSE members are invited to attend both parts of the event.  Non-members are welcome to attend the presentation, so feel free to invite your colleagues to this part of the event.

The second innovation this year is to provide a mechanism for you to appoint  a proxy and/or place questions for the INCOSE UK Board if you are unable to attend in person.  At last yearÂ’s meeting it was agreed that we should continue with a two year period of office for continuity purposes, so the only resolution to be tabled is one to confirm the appointment of the current elected members of the board.  Incidentally, next year we will be looking for new nominations for Chapter officers, so please think about whether you would like to be involved in the running of INCOSE.  Formal requests for nomination will be distributed in summer/autumn 2001, but informal approaches are welcome at any time before then.

I hope that you will be able to attend the AGM or if not, air any questions that you may have regarding the operation of INCOSE UK using the attached form.

Peter Lister,
President of the UK Chapter of INCOSE
